Annoyed over forcible eviction from Shambhu and Khanauri borders by the state government, farmers owning allegiance to the Bharti Kisan Union (BKU) Sidhupur have put up banners warning AAP leaders not to enter their villages or be ready to face consequences. Farmers said leaders would be responsible if anything untoward happens to them. Meanwhile, SSP Subham Aggarwal said nobody would be allowed to take the law into their own hands.

Some families of Kotla Jattan and Beer Bhamarsi villages have joined the Congress after deserting the AAP. Former Congress MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra, welcomed them into the party fold by presenting siropas. Speaking on the occasion, he said residents were fed up with the anti-people policies of the AAP Government. He said no development work had been initiated in Fatehgarh Sahib constituency. Even patch work on roads had not been undertaken, he added.
