The police have confiscated three luxury cars, including two SUVs, following the arrest of the husband of Raipur Mandlan village sarpanch here. Drugs were seized from him.

The anti-narcotics task force (ANTF) of the police claimed to have arrested accused Dharminder Singh, husband of sarpanch Sarabjeet Kaur. The police said 70 kg poppy husk, 50 kg poppy straw, 77 kg ganja, 250 gm opium and Rs 13 lakh drug money was seized from him.

Dharminder has over 10 cases registered against him, including liquor smuggling and Excise Act violations. As per the FIR, Dharminder has been booked under various sections of the NDPS Act.
