Simarpreet Kaur, a student of Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, has won a bronze at the maiden Commonwealth Karate Championship in South Africa.

Simarpreet who is pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga at Desh Bhagat University demonstrated exceptional skill, focus and dedication, earning the third place in a strong field of contenders.
