Rotary Club, Sirhind, organised a blood donation camp at Rotary Bhavan here today. District and Sessions Judge Arun Gupta inaugurated the camp. A blood bank team from the civil hospital facilitated the camp.

Addressing the gathering, Gupta appreciated the efforts of the Rotary Club. He said that blood donation was the supreme donation as it saved precious lives. He said that blood was not made in the factories and could only be collected through donations. He added that there was a great gap between the need and availability of blood, so all the NGOs and youth clubs must come forward for this noble cause.

President of the club, Dr Hitender Suri, said that more than 95 units were donated by the members and residents. He highlighted the social activities being initiated by the club.
