Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University celebrated its 18th Foundation Day here with deep reverence and enthusiasm. Vice-Chancellor Prof Prit Pal Singh congratulated students, faculty and staff on the successful completion of 17 years of the university’s journey. Highlighting the achievements of the 2024–25 academic year, he appreciated the dedication of students and staff who excelled not only in academics, but also in sports and cultural activities, bringing laurels to the university.

Advocate Amardeep Singh Dharni, member of the Trust, lauded the efforts of faculty and non-teaching staff in maintaining academic excellence and noted with pride the significant rise in admissions this year in the university. He appealed to the people for the preservation of environment and to stand tall for the service in the flood-affected areas of the state.

Dr Harpreet Singh, Head, Department of Music, inspired students to imbibe the eternal teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in their daily lives.

Ajmer Singh Khehra, Senate member, emphasised that the university, true to its vision, continued to contribute towards world peace and prosperity, upholding the values of harmony and service.

Prof Sukhwinder Singh Billing, Dean, Academic Affairs, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the university authorities and all dignitaries present on the occasion. Reaffirming the university’s mission of creating a knowledge-based society grounded in human values, he hoped that in the years to come, the institution would excel further in education while nurturing Sikh principles among the youth.
