The victim, who hailed from Uttar Pradesh, was identified as Abhishek Singh. He was returning after collecting money from Patiala’s villages bordering Haryana. “Two bike-borne men followed him and later, one of them opened fire at him. The bullet hit victim on the thigh. He was rushed to Government Rajindra Hospital where he succumbed to his injury,” said a police official.
