Patiala, December 18

Students of Senior Secondary Model School, Punjabi University, participated in SVEEP activities being carried out by Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, S Karuna Raju, in a review meeting of the state Assembly elections due next year.

Students were led by the District Nodal Officer, SVEEP, Prof Gurbakshish Singh. The District Election officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Patiala, Sandeep Hans, appreciated the team’s participation in the state event.

Students also attended two day programme organised by the CEO at Chandigarh. They were in a jubilant mood after meeting Chief Election Commissioner of India Sushil Chandra and his team. Students assured the Chief Election Officer that they would spread awareness among people to cast their votes.
