Shopkeepers were urged not to sell the banned product. Additionally, PPCB appeals to the public to avoid using banned china string, manjha, nylon, or synthetic thread for kite flying, as these pose serious environmental and safety hazards.

PPCB also urged citizens to support the cause and report any instance of sale, storage, supply, import, or use of the banned string to the toll-free helpline at 1800-180-2810, available from 9am to 5pm.
