The state government has appointed Professor Jamit Kaur Teji as officiating chairperson of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). Till now, she has been working as PPSC member.

Teji said she joined as PPSC member in March 2018. Before that, she worked as faculty member at Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11, Chandigarh, for 32 years. She later took voluntary retirement.

She said the state government was already in pursuit of appointing a regular chairperson. “The officiating charge has been given till further orders,” she added.
