Thieves broke into a house in in Aman Colony, Sirhind, today and decamped with the jewellery and cash.

Complainant Sukhwinder Singh said his aunt and daughter-in-law had gone to the market around 5 pm when the burglars struck. They allegedly broke into the house, and stole around Rs 2 lakh and some jewellery.

Sirhind SHO Sandeep Singh said the police were examining the footage of the CCTV cameras located in the area in which he can be seen arriving at the spot on a bike.
