Patiala Foundation, in collaboration with the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety, organised a Road Safety Sensitisation Training Programme for working journalists as part of the global initiative — Mobility Snapshot 2024.
The event was attended by journalists committed to improving public awareness on road safety issues through accurate and responsible reporting.

The programme was graced by distinguished guests, including Naman Markan, PCS, Regional Transport Authority, Patiala, and Samana DSP G.S. Sikand.
Welcoming the guests, Patiala Media Club president Navdeep Dhingra said such training workshops added to the skills of the working journalists who report such mishaps. Naman Markan briefed the participants on various steps taken by the Transport Department to avoid such mishaps.
Ravee Singh Ahluwalia, Chief Executive Officer, Patiala Foundation, briefed the participants on the WHO’s “Reporting on Road Safety” guide, providing participants with vital tools to report road safety matters more effectively.
