Patiala: A student of Yadavindra Public School, Vinay Goyal, was felicitated on Republic Day for his project, “The Advantage India”, which focuses on helping people with disabilities and unemployed youth. The Punjab Government felicitated Goyal for his work as a social entrepreneur that he carried out with the help his schoolmate Arshjot Kaur Nagpal. Goyal said: “Ours is basically a career platform, acting as a bridge, specialising in connecting differently abled people and unemployed youth with the best career resources and providing them employment opportunities all across India.” The Advantage India also runs special programmes for the disabled wherein they provide vocational training to candidates, special education to specially abled children and etc. TNS

Nukkad natak campaign ends

Patiala: “The Three Show Nukkad Natak Theatre Campaign” launched by the National Theatre Arts Society (NTAS) in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) concluded at Bhai Gurbax Singh Memorial Auditorium Trust, Majri Akalian village, in Patiala. Chairman of the Trust Karnail Singh thanked NZCC director Saubhagya Vardhan, NTAS directors Sunita and Pran Sabharwal, and the artistes for presenting a successful “nukkad natak mela” at their village to entertain and educate the villagers.
