VC announces opening of sales centre at Punjabi University

Punjabi University vice-chancellor Prof Arvind said a sales centre will be opened at the university for products made by students. “Adoption of new technology and techniques is the need of the hour for success,” he said.

“Any entrepreneur can progress only with courage and hard work. This is the basic formula for success. He said we should not stand on old things regarding handicrafts. In this modern era, we can attain success only by presenting old handicrafts in a new form,” he said.

Arvind said new programs were being introduced by the university for self-employment of the youth. In this regard, he said, construction of a building for a food processing unit has been started yesterday. He asked the students to focus on self-employment instead of running after jobs.

University registrar Navjot Kaur emphasised on the need for women to be economically independent.
