Patiala: Punjabi University’s Centre for e-Learning and Teaching Excellence conducted a one-day webinar under capacity building programme on “Role of Punjabipedia in the technological Ddevelopment of Punjabi language”.

Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Arvind said, “The university should make the best of its e-resources. If Punjabi language has to be kept in pace with today’s time then such projects need to be encouraged,” the VC added.

“Foreign languages, including English and others have progressed because their e-resources are widely available,” the VC said. “Punjabi language must be taken to the global level,” the VC added. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
