Woman killed after speeding car rams into scooter

The deceased has been identified as Santosh Kumari, 43, a resident of Sulur near Patiala. The car driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. The police have registered a hit-and-run case and launched a search to nab the absconding driver.
Division No 2 SHO Gurpinder Singh said the victim, Santosh Kumari, worked as a senior assistant at the PSPCL head office in Patiala. She had been living with her family in a rented house in Sulur.
She was returning home on her e-scooter when a speeding Hyundai Creta car hit her and the scooters.
The other victim, identified as Vikram, a resident of Sanjay Colony, sustained injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where his condition is stated to be critical.
