Work to construct road at Patiala's Sheesh Mahal Enclave commences

MLA Ajit Pal Singh Kohli said there were many areas in the city where roads had not been built for years. “Fulfilling the long-standing demand of the people, solid and strong roads are now being built in those places,” he said, adding that the aim was to provide all facilities to the residents.
Mayor Kundan Gogia said the Municipal Corporation team was fully on “stand-by duty” and every development project is being monitored so that there is no compromise on quality. He stated that if any instance of corruption or negligence by any officer or contractor comes to light, they will not be spared.
Gogia said no agreement will be made with any company without following the rules. He stated that the city’s roads are being made durable and strong for a long time, so that people do not face any problems for years to come.
The MLA and the Mayor further added that development works are being carried out in every area, keeping in mind the suggestions and needs of the city’s people.
They said that in accordance with the Chief Minister’s vision, strong steps are being taken towards the goal of making Patiala a beautiful, clean, and modern city.
Also present on the occasion were SE Rajinder Chopra, Gurpreet Guri from Ward Ward Number 40, Jyoti from Ward Number 39, Harman Sandhu from Ward Ward Number 50, besides the local residents.
