Inderjit is Moga district planning board chairman

Moga: The Punjab Government has appointed General Secretary of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) Inderjit Singh Bir Charik as Chairman of the District Planning Board of Moga. He took the charge of the office in the presence of local Congress MLA Kaka Sukhjit Singh Lohgarh, PCC Secretary Ramesh Kuku and other party leaders. PCC Secretary Ravi Grewal, former district party president Colonel Babu Singh (retd) and a couple of other local party leaders were also vying for the post. tns

Cash collector robbed of Rs1.33 lakh

Fazilka: Five persons assaulted a man and robbed of his bag containing cash near Shahtirwala village of Fazilka district. Brij Mohan said he worked as the incharge for wine contractors. He and his companion Ravinder Kumar had gone to collect cash from some wine shops. When they were on their bike near Shahtirwala village, the accused thrashed them and fled with their cash bag containing Rs 1,33,720 and fled. OC
