Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Sunday awarded Police Medal to 11 officers in recognition of their “outstanding performance and discharge of duty with utmost sincerity, dedication and commitment”. As many as 43 other personalities were felicitated for their exemplary services in their fields.

The CM also paid tributes to martyr and Shaurya Chakra awardee Major Harminder Pal Singh, who sacrificed his life while fighting militants in J&K.

The CM honoured SP, Headquarters, Ropar, Jagjit Singh; ACP, Industrial Area, Ludhiana, Sandeep Kumar Wadhera; and DSP, Headquarters, Ropar, Chand Singh; with Rakshak Padak.

He also presented the Chief Minister Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty to ACP (Traffic-1), Ludhiana city, Gurdev Singh; DSP, Intelligence Wing, PAP, Kamaljeet Kumar; Inspector, Vigilance Bureau, Patiala Range, Pritpal Singh; Inspector, Special Cell Intelligence, Sukhjit Singh; Sub Inspector Harshjot Kaur from Barnala; Sub Inspector Bhupinder Singh of PPA, Phillaur; Sub Inspector Harjit Singh from Fatehgarh Sahib; ASI, Headquarters, Vigilance Bureau, SAS Nagar, Kulbhushan Bagga; ASI, Intelligence Wing, Manpreet Singh; ASI, Intelligence Wing, Punjab, Narinder Kumar; and Constable, Intelligence Wing, Bikramjit Singh.
