12 drug peddlers held

The police last night recovered about 30gm of heroin from a person near a cinema in Sriganganagar. The suspect was identified as Rinku Singh of Mubarakpur Alwar. He has reportedly been going to Amritsar to carry for sale at Sriganganagar.

CIA Staff arrested Ankit Kumar of Bishanpura village along with Gurwant Singh and Sukhwinder Kaur of Tarn Taran and recovered 52gm of heroin and Rs 25,000 drug money. 50gm of heroin was recovered from Mukesh and Pankaj residents of Hanumangarh. 15gm of heroin was seized from Sunny of Abohar’s Jammu Basti.

The police recovered 62gm of ganja from Uttam Ram who was intercepted and checked on the Padampur Road. 200gm of opium and Rs 2 lakh, drug money, was recovered from Sanjay Bishnoi and Suresh Bishnoi of Ridmalsar last night. 44kg of poppy husk was recovered from a Honda City car that police intercepted near Sriganganagar. Both occupants, identified as Harvinder Singh of Patrewala village and Amarjit Singh of Kamalwala were held under the NDPS Act.
