1,200 kg beef found in Golden Temple Mail at Vadodara

        Following a tip-off by the Sanyukt Gau Raksha Dal, Punjab, the Government Railway Police (GRP), Vadodara, on April 30 seized 1,200 kg beef from the Golden Temple Mail that operates between Amritsar and Mumbai (Central). A team of GRP, Vadodara, is likely to visit Amritsar for further investigation into the case.
Head of the Gau Raksha Dal Gurpreet Singh said the beef was being transported in 16 containers kept in the last bogie of the train.

A sample of the confiscated material has been sent to forensic science laboratory. The GRP has registered a case under Section 325 of the BNS and other legal provisions.
