Abohar, August 19

The Khuian Sarwar police have registered a case against 16 people and arrested 14 of them for illegally mining soil from the field.

Ravinder Kumar of Daulatpura village had complained to the police that people were taking out soil from the fields with the help of JCB machines and tractor trolleys. The police booked the suspects under Section 303(2) of the BNS.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
