Members and office-bearers of about 14 organisations and unions, including Powercom Contractual Employees Union, Democratic Teachers Front (DTF) and Punjab Students Union (PSU)-Shaheed Randhawa, today held a meeting at Barnala and extended support to the “Agriculture Policy Morcha” to be held by the BKU (Ugrahan) from September 1 to 5 at Chandigarh.

DTF state secretary Balbir Chand Longowal said the representatives of various organisations and unions took part in the meeting that did not have any direct or indirect connection with any political party. He said these organisations extended support to the “Agriculture Policy Morcha”.

PSU (Shaheed Randhawa) state secretary Hushiyar Singh Salemgarh said BKU (Ugrahan) state president Joginder Singh Ugrahan and Punjab Khet Mazdoor Union state secretary Lachhman Singh Sewewala also attended the meeting.
