15 stolen bikes recovered, two drug addicts arrested

The city police recovered 15 stolen motorcycles from two drug addicts, Gupreet Singh alias Poppy and Ramandeep Singh alias Deep, both residents of Chak Singhe Wala Senia village, on January 5. Acting on a tip-off, the police laid a barrier at Badha T-point on the outskirts of Fazilka and apprehended the accused, who were travelling from Jalalabad to Fazilka.

Inspector Lekh Raj informed that during questioning, the accused confessed to stealing motorcycles from various locations, including Fazilka, Jalalabad, Abohar, and Muktsar. In addition to the 15 bikes recovered, the duo admitted to stealing 10 more bikes, which they had sold at lower prices. The police are now working to recover the 10 sold motorcycles. The accused have been booked under sections 303(2) and 317(2) of the BNS Act.
