Two Congress leaders along with their supporters have raised a banner of revolt against Cabinet Minister Vijay Inder Singla. They have announced opposition to the candidature of Singla, who has accused his political opponents of inciting party men against him.

“Singla is acting in a biased manner in Bhawanigarh. Many areas are being ignored for no reason. We have now decided to oppose Singla,” said Congress leader Kapil Dev Garg, who is Director, PRTC. Another leader Bipan Sharma also accused Singla of bias. Singla however alleged both Sharma and Garg had been levelling baseless allegations against him. “Each penny of the government is being used with transparency,” he said. — TNS
