The police created diversions at Ghanauli and at Nalagarh road to ensure safe passage for commuters.

After a clash between the two factions of Satguru Brahma Nand Bhuriwale Sect, more than 400 residents, including women, children and religious heads blocked the road demanding action against the rival group. The police officials had a tough time negotiating with the protesters.

Rupnagar SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana said, “The first priority is to clear the traffic on the national highway and remove the protesters. Suitable action will be taken against those involved in the clash.”
