Morinda, June 1

Two local residents were killed when the motorcycle they were riding on had a head-on collision with a car near Chatamla village here today.

The deceased have been identified as Ranjodh Singh of Chatamla village and Harjoban Singh of Shahpur village, both aged 40.

The police said they were heading towards Kurali from Morinda when the incident happened, leaving both of them injured.

They were taken to Morinda government hospital, where Harjoban Singh succumbed to his injuries.

Doctors referred Ranjodh Singh to Government Medical College and Hospital in Chandigarh, but he also died after reaching there.
