Bilal had been kept in a juvenile home in Hoshiarpur after he was held by the BSF in February 2018.

Bilal, alias Mubarak, a resident of Kasur, was caught from Khemkaran village of Tarn Taran in February 2018.

Bilal said he was happy to join back his family. He said he had crossed over the border after he was scolded by his father, but never knew the repercussions. He praised the Indian authorities for treating him well.
