Two trucks loaded with English liquor and beer, illegally transported from Bathinda and Ambala, were seized in separate incidents by the Excise Department and police in Rajasthan.

In the first case, the Excise Department intercepted a truck on the mega highway in Hanumangarh. The truck, heading towards Bikaner, was carrying 200 cartons of English liquor worth approximately Rs 17 lakh. The driver, Abdul Majeed, was arrested. A total of 2,400 bottles of liquor were seized.

Another truck was seized by the police in the Salasar police station area late last night. The truck, with a Haryana registration number, was carrying a consignment of liquor worth around Rs 20 lakh, hidden under sacks of rice husk. Police discovered 370 cartons of beer and 17 cartons of White Blue whiskey. The driver, Naina Ram Jat from Balotra, was arrested.
