Three farmers, including two women, have been booked for stubble burning here.

They were identified as Baljit Kaur of Hasta Kalan village; Sumitra Rani, a resident of Bhamba Wattu Hithar village; and Kulwant Singh of Prabhat Singh Wala Hithar village. They have been booked under Section 223 of the BNSS, which deals with disobedience to an order promulgated by a public servant. It attracts imprisonment up to six months or a fine of Rs 2,500.
