Congress candidate Sourabh Mithu Madaan from Ward Number 28 will face the people’s verdict for the first time after 60 persons were mowed down by a DMU while watching Dasehra in 2018 organised by him and his associates.

It is to be seen whether the residents absolve him of all accusations as the administration and other government agencies did. In case he remains unsuccessful, then it would be construed as an indictment by the people for omissions committed while organising Dasehra event.

He had been organising the event close to Joda Phatak for the past many years. After the tragedy, he did not organise the function at all.The victims said wounds had healed but scars still remain intact.Despite repeated attempts, Mithu didn’t answer the calls.
