Days after seizing 95,000 litres of lahan (raw liquor), officials of the Excise Department and the state police in Fazilka, Abohar and Muktsar again raided the fields yesterday around the sub-canal in the same area of Chanankhera and Kattianwali villages and seized 21,000 litres of lahan.

However, even as dozens of policemen cordoned off the prime hub of illicit liquor manufacturers near the sub-canal, nobody could be arrested. — OC
