The deceased’s family members said Ajay had left his house on a motorcycle on Sunday. Two of his friends came back to handover the bike on Monday and said Ajay had gone to pay obeisance at Runecha Dham.

Later, the family was informed that Ajay had drowned in the canal.

Taking cognisance of the affected family’s apprehensions about the role of some friends of the deceased, a case has been registered under Section 106(1) of the BNS naming Sumit, Rohit and Shanty, residents of Arya Nagar, and Sameer of Nai Abadi. City II police station Assistant Sub Inspector Raj Singh has been told to investigate the case.
