The Hanumangarh police today claimed to have busted a gang that was considered responsible for various incidents of motorcycle thefts.

SHO Naresh Gera said 24 stolen bikes had been recovered after the arrest of three members of a gang. Sukhchain Singh Chaini (22) of Sureshia, Gurpreet Singh Gopi (30) and Riyasat Ali (24) of Dholia village were held while investigating the complaints registered in the past two months. So far, the police had recovered 50 stolen bikes from different miscreants this year, the SHO said.

Meanwhile, the Sriganganagar police nabbed three miscreants, who had allegedly stolen a car from a showroom. The team led by ASI Pawan Kumar raided a dhaba, near Chak 73 LLP on the Sriganganagar-Srikaranpur road last night, and arrested Daya Ram Khyaliwala, Harpal Singh and Jaskaran Singh. A car that the trio had allegedly stolen from a showroom, a few hours back, was recovered. The investigation indicated that the miscreants were waiting for a buyer. Daya Ram had worked at a car showroom in Sriganganagar. He stole the vehicle after breaking locks of the entry gate of the showroom, with the help of two accomplices.
