A day after Abohar-based businessman Gulab Singh got the licence of the liquor-vend located near Gang Canal in village Sadhuwali on the interstate border, salesman Rahul Trivedi (25) was found murdered yesterday. Previous licencee Lakhbir Singh had requested Gulab Singh to continue Trivedi’s service. The deceased belonged to Kutupur village in UP’s Mainpuri district and lived alone in Sadhuwali. As of now, no clue has been found in the murder case.

Investigation indicated that he had slept on the cot outside the shop. Some persons noticed him murdered on Wednesday morning and informed the Jawahar Nagar police station. There was an injury on his neck inflicted with some sharp weapon.

According to the police, unknown miscreants, after killing him, took out the key and opened the locks of the shutter. Thereafter, they committed theft/loot inside.
