Budding archers who emerged winners in State School Games were felicitated on return to their hometown.

Three students of LRS DAV Senior Secondary Model School, who won gold medals and championship in archery at Punjab School Games held recently in Patiala, have been selected for national school games.

National archery coach Ravi Kumar said the team of Keshav Rajoria, Aakriti and Sahaj Sethi won the championship. Keshav won five gold medals and a silver in the under-19 recurve category. In the same category, Aakriti won three gold medals, two silver and a bronze. Sahaj won three gold medals and a silver. Namit Bhardwaj won a silver medal in the Olympic round. Piyush and Tanuj won a bronze medal each.

Keshav, Aakriti and Sahaj have been selected to participate at the national school games.

School chairman and DAV College Managing Committee vice-principal Dev Mittar Ahuja and Principal Smita Sharma congratulated the students and their coach.
