A tragic incident occurred this morning at Mohalla Aiapur in Tanda town of Hoshiarpur, when the roof of a two-storey house collapsed killing three persons and injuring three others.

The house belonged to Shankar Mandal, a migrant labourer who lived with his four daughters and wife. His entire house suddenly collapsed, trapping the family under the debris.

Local residents rushed to their aid and helped rescue the family members from the rubble. Unfortunately, Shankar Mandal and his two daughters, Shivani and Puja, lost their lives in the tragedy.

Shankar's wife and two other daughters were seriously injured and were rushed to the government hospital in Tanda for treatment.
