3 of family die in road accident in Hoshiarpur

A devastating road accident occurred in village Noorpur Jattan, Kot Fatuhi area of Tehsil Garhshankar in Hoshiarpur, resulting in the loss of three lives. The victims, Gurnam Singh (45), his wife Varinder Kaur (42), and their daughter Seerat (7), were returning home in their car after attending a marriage ceremony in Kot Fatuhi.

As they were driving, a speeding canter coming from the opposite direction collided with their vehicle head-on. The impact was severe, causing significant damage to the car. Varinder Kaur succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while Gurnam and Seerat were rushed to Banga Civil Hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, they also passed away during treatment.

Following the accident, the canter driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. ASI Surjit Singh of the Saila Khurd police outpost reported that upon receiving information about the incident, the police party arrived at the scene, took both vehicles into custody, and initiated an investigation.
