Three persons, including a couple, died in various road accidents in the area. Amrik Singh of village Bahibowal Chhanniyan has lodged a complaint with the police of Tanda that his brother Surjit Singh and his wife Rajwinder Kaur were returning to the village. When they reached near village Khudda, a vehicle hit them. He said his sister-in-law died on the spot, while his brother died on the way to hospital.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
