A team of Pallu police today intercepted a Verna car on the Hanumangarh mega highway and seized 4 kg of opium milk, which was packed in four plastic bags. Aziz Khan (37) of Chittaurgarh, Imran (34) of Nimbahera and Zakir Husain (45) of Neemach in Madhya Pradesh were arrested under the NDPS Act. SHO Mohinder Kumar said the opium milk seized was reportedly used to prepare opium by adding some ingredients. Its price was estimated at Rs6 lakh. Preliminary investigation reportedly indicated that the consignment was to be delivered at Dabwali. oc

2 held with 15-gm heroin

The police recovered 15 grams of heroin and held two persons in separate cases here on Monday. The police held a person and recovered 10 grams of heroin from him in Samana town. The suspect has been identified as Binder Singh, a resident of Muradpura village. In another case, the police arrested a Sangrur resident and recovered 5 grams of heroin from him. The police said Maninder Singh had been booked under the NDPS Act. tns
