The dera headed by Jagtar Singh is located on the outskirts of the town on Goindwal Sahib road.

They injured dera cashier Mohinder Singh before decamping with the money.

Dera sewadar Bakshish Singh, who was on duty at the dera, in his complaint to police, said the robbers came at about 10.45 pm. They gained entry into the dera on the pretext of meeting the cashier about a patient admitted at the hospital run by the dera.

The robbers went straight to the cashier’s room and bolted the door from inside as Bakhshish waited outside.
