4 MGNREGA workers killed in road mishap

Four MGNREGA workers — three men and a woman — were killed in a mishap today on the Sunam-Patiala road, near Bishanpura village.

The deceased have been identified as Jarnail Singh, Harpal Singh, Chhota Singh and Gurdev Kaur, all residents of Bishanpura village.

Inspector Parteek Jindal, SHO, City Police Station, Sunam, said the deceased were working on the roadside when a truck coming from Mehlan village hit them. They were dragged for some distance and died on the spot.
