The Wahabwala police in Abohar subdivision today seized 39 kg of poppy husk from Vijay Kumar of Mehrajpur alias Mehrana village. A case was registered under the NDPS Act. A local court remanded him to police custody for two days.
The police in Sadulshehar, 31 km from here, seized 30 gm of heroin from Pooja and her son-in-law Sandeep. Investigation indicated that they had arranged the drug from someone in Fazilka’s Jalalabad area. Dilbagh Singh of Malout was held for allegedly supplying 65 gm of heroin to his customers.
