The Abohar police have arrested five persons for stealing electronic gears from cellphone towers at Kundal village.

The accused have been identified as Ajay Kumar, Lovepreet Singh, Rohit and Danveer of Chuhriwala Dhanna, Sita Ram of Sayeed Wala village and Lovepreet of Panjpir Colony.

Complainant Satnam Singh, a resident of Tappa Khera village, stated that some miscreants had stolen electronic parts from a mobile tower on September 25.

Assistant Station House Officer Om Prakash nabbed the accused and recovered the stolen parts during patrolling near Sayeed Wala village.

Cops produced the accused before the court, which remanded them in a three-day custody.
