The Abohar city police have arrested five members of a gang for stealing vehicles and selling them on the basis of fake Registration Certificates (RCs) in Abohar. Two motorcycles have been recovered from their possession.

The suspects were identified as Soni Singh of Gidderbaha, Jagga Singh of Nandgarh (Bathinda), Gurpreet Singh of Talwandi (Bathinda), Sukhwinder Singh of Fatehgarh and Bhupinder Singh of Gobindpura (Bathinda). All of them were sent to jail by a court here after being questioned by the police.

A case was registered here under Sections 303 (2), 338, 336(2), 340(2) and 61(2) of the BNS. Assistant Sub-Inspector Bhupinder Singh is investigating the case.
