A large packet wrapped in yellow adhesive tape with a metal ring attached to it was found in a harvested field adjacent to Mahawa village, he added.

In another incident a day before, three pistols, along with six magazines and 97 rounds of ammunition were seized near the border in the Tarn Taran sector.

Both the consignments of weapons are believed to have been dropped by drones from Pakistan, BSF officers said.
