The downswing in the number of Covid cases being reported continues, with 669 cases having been reported in the last 24 hours. The tally has climbed to 1,23,973. Besides, the toll has breached the 3,833 mark with 35 new casualties. As per the media bulletin, the number of active Covid cases has come down to 9,275 with 1.10 lakh recoveries. At present, 180 patients are on oxygen support and 35 on ventilators.

Of the cases reported, SAS Nagar has recorded 114 cases, followed by Ludhiana (91), Amritsar (65), Jalandhar (53), Patiala (51) and Gurdaspur (40). In the district-wise breakup, Ludhiana topped the chart with five deaths, followed by Hoshiarpur and Jalandhar (four each), Amritsar, Kapurthala and Patiala (three each), Bathinda, Gurdaspur and Ropar (two each), and Faridkot, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Moga, Muktsar, Pathankot and Tarn Taran (one each).
