Gang member Jagdeep Singh, alias Jagga Dhurkot, belongs to Dhurkot Ransih village in Moga. At present, he is settled abroad. He had been making extortion calls to people in the area using social media apps. In case anyone refused to pay the ransom, local members of the gang would attack him using fire weapons to terrorise him. That way they forced their victims to pay money.
