The police here seized 45 g of heroin from two people who have been working as sweets makers. ASI Sukhmandar Singh said Kaushal Lalla and Sunny Kumar, residents of Indira Nagari, were held near Alamgarh Chowk. He said the police seized heroin from their possession. The ASI said a case under Sections 21, 29, 61 and 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS) Act has been registered against them.

A City-1 police team led by Inspector Milakh Raj recovered 52.79 g of heroin from a biker, identified as Nishan Singh, a resident of Seed Farm Colony. The police said the bike of the suspect was also seized. They said a case under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against Nishan.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Pragat Singh of the Khuian Sarwar police station recovered 1.2 kg of opium from a suspect, Balwinder Singh, a resident of Dhani Dandewali near Telupura village drain. The police said a case under Sections 18, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the suspect.

Police officials said the district special team near Hanumangarh recovered 3.2 kg of opium from a car and arrested Ashok Bishnoi, a resident of Jajiwal Dhora village in Jodhpur, Ajay Jat and Jai Prakash Jat, residents of Bhirani. The police said a case under the NDPS Act has been registered against the suspects.
