The police claim to have arrested seven drug peddlers. Shankar Lal Chhabra and Krishan Lal Somalia were nabbed with 900-gm opium, Kulwant Teji with 10-gm heroin, Raju with 990 intoxicating tablets, Abdul Khan and Imi Chand Meghwal with 230 sedative pills and Rana with 210 sedative capsules. –

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
