Eight persons were injured, one of them seriously, after a speeding truck rammed into at least five vehicles at Shambhu on Friday. The seriously injured person was sent to a hospital in Ambala.

According to Ravi Sharma, an occupant of a car involved in the accident, said a speeding truck came from behind and rammed into cars. Punjab Police personnel, who were present near the accident spot in connection with clearing of the Shambhu border, came to their rescue, he said.
